mSilica supports both of the main LED configurations for LCD TVs:

Edgelit – higher current LEDs/ 100mA – 1A, up to 32 strings


Direct backlit – lower current LEDs /<100mA, up to 256 strings

mSilica LED Drivers can globally load registers in all parts of the system. Additionally mSilica LED Drivers feature the Smartwire™ interface which continuously transmits real-time data on LED characteristics between the cascaded LED drivers and the DC/DC converter. Smartwire enables adaptive optimization of voltage headroom accounting for environmental variances and LED aging.

mSilica supplies several reference design boards along with a variety of LED Load boards. We also have a full-featured GUI for easy evaluation and design-in of all of our chips.
